Israel Holy Days

"But You, Adonai, sit enthroned forever.Your renown is from generation to generation. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her, for the appointed time has come, for her stones are dear to Your servants, and they cherish her dust." Psalm 102:13-15

They occurred in the month of Tishri (September/October).

Festival of Trumpets

Numbers 29:1 In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you are to have a holy convocation; do not do any kind of ordinary work; it is a day of blowing the shofar for you.

I Corinthians 15:52 It will take but a moment, the blink of an eye, at the final shofar. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised to live forever, and we too will be changed.

The Day of Atonement

Leviticus 23:27 The tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippur, you are to have a holy convocation, you are to deny yourselves, and you are to bring an offering made by fire to the LORD.

Zechariah 12: 10-11a
"Then I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication, when they will look toward Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for him as one mourns for an only son and grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for a firstborn. In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem...

Leviticus 23: 33, 36b Adonai said to Moshe, "Tell the people of Israel, 'on the fifteenth day of the seventh month is the feast of Sukkot for seven days to Adonai.'"
